Tat-Fu Tattoo was established in 2001, and purchased by Nick Lawrence in 2003. The shop thrived in a small downtown location until 2007, when the artists made the decision to expand and move to another building on Route 66.
Tat-Fu Tattoo is now located in a 2700 square foot building at 104 E. Route 66 in downtown Flagstaff. Currently, Tat-Fu Tattoo employs 4 award winning artists; Nick Lawrence, Josh Nelson, CONTACT _Con-39EAC4BF1 \c \s \l Cameron Chase, and “Suga” Shayne Spyra, as well as two body piercers; Tony Naggar and Ryan Burke.
September 6, 2013 marks the 10 year anniversary of Nick Lawrence’s ownership of Tatfu Tattoo. The shop will celebrate with the community by hosting an extravagant art show for Flagstaff’s First Friday Art Walk.
In addition to providing quality tattoos and piercings every day, Tat-Fu Tattoo also carries an extensive selection of the finest body jewelry. All employees at the shop are OSHA certified, and have met all requirements through the Coconino County Health Department for Body Art Certification. Tat-Fu Tattoo is routinely monitored and regulated by the Coconino County Health Department, and passes all safety and sanitation measures.
In terms of the future of Tat-Fu Tattoo… The Route 66 location has turned out to be ideal, and Tat-Fu is there to stay. The beauty of this location is that it not only provides a place for the artists to provide a valuable service to their clients, but they are also able to display a variety of other art mediums throughout the shop. The artists of Tat-Fu Tattoo look forward to representing the shop and promoting growth for themselves through attending Tattoo Conventions and hosting future art shows.
