When two of the Chinese characters for happiness are placed side by side, a completely new character is formed; double happiness, a symbol of the harmony and good fortune of marriage. Ubiquitous in the decorations of Chinese marital ceremonies, this joyous character expresses our designs and intentions. Emerging from the wedding of the old and the new, we seek to embrace tradition while subverting convention.
