source: @vault_editions Bronze hand used in the worship of Sabazios, the god of fertility and vegetation worshipped by a religious cult of ancient Rome. Hands decorated with religious symbols were designed to stand in sanctuaries or, were attached to poles for processional use. Another similar bronze hand found in the 16th/17th century in Tournai, Belgium, can be found in the British Museum.
